No More Excuses—Making Your Mission Priority #1

Fri, Feb 23, 2024

You are on a mission.

You have a purpose of extreme importance—something only you are capable of.

Once accomplished, it’ll make the world a better place. I don’t need to convince you of this. If you silence your mind for even a moment, you’ll find this thought resonates 100%.

Some people know what this mission is, while others are still working toward determining the final destination.

Regardless of which camp you belong to, there are tasks you know you need to accomplish now to take you in the right direction; you know precisely what these things are.

They’re the tasks of extreme importance that you’ve been putting off. The work that scares you. The things you convince yourself you’re not ready for. Things that you say need to be built up to.

You’ve been waiting until [insert excuse here].

This is the book you know you have to write, the course you need to create, the business you must launch, the podcast you need to start, the partnership you need to end, the job you need to quit, the habit you need to build (or break), the trip you need to take, the truth you need to tell.

I’m here to tell you that the world can’t afford you to wait any longer.

Your voice, your strength, your contribution, is needed. Now.

You are on a mission. It’s time to make that mission your priority. From now on, from this very moment until forever, your mission comes first.

Your mission isn’t meant for nights and weekends. It’s not meant for “when there’s time.” It’s not meant to be worked around other people’s schedules or relegated to your task list’s “someday” column.

Your mission is of extreme importance and deserves to take center stage.

You must be your mission’s champion. You must advocate for your mission and ensure it takes center stage. The chaos of the world is trying to pull you in a million directions and make you adhere to its agenda. No more. From here on out, your mission comes first. Always.

There will be sacrifices. There will be pain.

Some people will accuse you of abandoning them, and others will claim you’re abandoning yourself.

Both may be right.

You’re abandoning those who can’t align with your mission and shedding the parts of yourself that don’t serve you.

But, if you’re willing to forge through the pain, do the work, and make the sacrifices, the result will be beyond your current ability to comprehend.

You will find yourself possessing the most incredible gift existence has to offer: realizing your life’s purpose.

I implore you to prioritize your mission on behalf of everyone and everything that depends on you and the work you’re here to do.

Do it today. Even if it’s something small, take a step in that direction. Then another. Then another.

Because you’re about to change the world.

Make the commitment by telling me what you will do today for your mission.
